Guest BETH MAIMAN
There is much debate around which is the best place to watch college baseball in the country. What makes a college ballpark "the best" is a whole other debate as well. So we decided to ask the fans on Twitter to get their thoughts. Although the Twitter thread got heated at times, we certainly saw many quality candidates for the best college ballparks as fans casted their vote. Below are 13 of the best places to watch college baseball, along with some honorable mentions: Texas A&M — Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park According to Texas A&M athletics, Blue Bell Park includes traditional and dugout suites, a new club lounge and a children's playground. Sounds pretty fancy, eh? Olsen Field is also the home of the bubbles and some rowdy Aggie fans who made sure their voice was heard on this Twitter poll. Arkansas — Baum Stadium Baum Stadium holds more than 10,000 spectators and is often a packed house whenever the Razorbacks play. The stadium has gone through three renovations over the years and is often considered one of the best college baseball facilities in the country. East Carolina — Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium LSU — Alex Box Stadium "Callin' Baton Rouge" The Box GEAUXTIGERS pic.twitter.com/Gk7uvB5j7S — Cathy Caughlin (@CathywasHultgre) July 20, 2018 Mississippi State — Dudy Noble Field With record-breaking attendance, it is a must that Mississippi State makes the list. Thanks to fan Andy Munday for the screenshot below showing the Bulldogs impressive attendance streaks. Oregon State — Goss Stadium at Coleman Field Goss Stadium at Coleman Field has been on the Oregon State campus since 1907, making it the oldest continuous ballpark in the nation. South Carolina — Founders Park Founder's Park...The University of South Carolina! Nothing better in the South!! Miami — Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field Renovations to Alex Rodriguez Park included a $3.9 million contribution by 11-time MLB All-Star Alex Rodriguez in 2012. The gift was the largest ever to the University of Miami baseball program and has assisted the program in developing new facilities. Arizona — Hi Corbett Field In 2012, Hi Corbett Field, which holds 9,500, became the new home for Wildcats baseball. Fun fact: the Colorado Rockies used to conduct spring traning there. Texas Tech — Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park Arizona State — Phoenix Municipal Stadium Known for having views of the Papago Mountains, Phoenix Municipal Stadium offers a one-of-a-kind view in college baseball. BYU — Larry H. Miller Field T.D. Ameritrade Park — Omaha It would be unjust to leave this out, right? Honorable mentions Washington — Husky Ballpark Coastal Carolina — Spring Brooks Stadium Pepperdine — Eddy D. Field Stadium Southern Mississippi — Pete Taylor Park
